NEW MILTON CC COLTS At New Milton we place great emphasis on our youth set-up and we are always delighted to welcome new youngsters and their parents to the club. The club is committed to providing a safe environment for its young players and in 2006 we were delighted to receive Sport England Clubmark accreditation. Clubmark, promoted by the ECB, addresses equality and child protection issues and gives confidence to parents choosing a cricket club for their children, please visit our Clubmark section for more information. We have qualified coaches dedicated to developing future talent for both the club and the county. Our colts teams have picked up many honours over the last ten or so years, please see the honours section from more information. Recent product of the system Dave Wheeler, has been playing cricket for Hampshire 2nd XI of late and has high hopes of forging a career in the sport. We hope he is the first of many. We currently operate teams at four age groups who play competitive cricket against other sides in the New Forest; under 9; under 11; under 13 and under 15. All promising players are encouraged to make the step up to the third and fourth men's teams for valuable experience as soon they feel comfortable and will always be given opportunities in the senior sides when they feel ready. The under 9s team is managed by Paul Findlay who can be contacted on 07806 601528. They play on Friday evenings. The under 11s A team is managed by Steve Watts who can be contacted on 01425 614650.
